Accessing Yahoo! Mail with Outlook Express 6

1. Download and install YPOPs plugin from http://www.ypopsemail.com/download/ to your PC, than activate it. Next open outlook express 6.
2. Select "Accounts..." from the "Tools" menu.
3. Click "Add" button and select "Mail...".
4. Enter your name and click "Next".
5. Enter your email address and click "Next".
6. Set "My incoming mail server is a" to POP3
7. Set "Incoming (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) mail server" to "127.0.0.1".
8. Set "Outgoing (SMTP) mail server" to "127.0.0.1" and click "Next". (Verify that SMTP is enabled in YPOPs.)
9. Set "Account name:" to your Yahoo! login.
10. Set "Password:" to you Yahoo! password and hit "Next".
11. Hit "Finish".
12. Click on new account named "127.0.0.1" and hit "Properties".
13. Rename account to "YPOPs" or something nice.
14. Select "Servers" tab.
15. Check "My server requires authentication".
16. Select "Advanced" tab.
17. Change "Server Timeouts" to Long - 5 minutes.
18. You may wish to select "Leave a copy of messages on server". This way the messages will not be deleted from Yahoo! when you download them.
19. You may wish to select "Remove from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'". This way when you delete a message in OE and empty the trash it's deleted from Yahoo! as well.
